The 2024 Esports World Cup (EWC) is the first edition of the Esports World Cup, an annual international esports tournament series replacing the Gamers8 festival, run by the Esports World Cup Foundation. The event took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, over 8 weeks in 2024, and featured 23 events in 22 different video game titles. It had the largest combined prize pool in esports history at over US$60 million, encompassing individual tournament prize pools, rewards for teams that qualify to EWC events, most valuable player awards, and the Club Championship, a cross-game competition that aggregates the individual game results of all participating organizations (known as “clubs” to the EWC) to crown a Club Champion.

The event coverage took place in eight commentator studios, fully equipped with AR and XR capabilites, as well as three main event stages. Over 50 PCs, 20 camera tracking systems, 20 operators and much more were brought to Saudi Arabia under the lead of the Bright! Studios to create a truely unique live experience with AR, XR, Live Data and much more.
